We spend the beginning of our time warming up our voices and bodies and then focus for the first hour on exploring movement as it relates to improvised singing. The remainder of the time together will be spent on singing and application. Our goal is to create a fun, fearless community of improvising singers.

NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. These gatherings are for anyone with a desire to sing.

We are so excited to welcome guest artist and facilitator Elana Jacobs to this gathering that will focus on movement. Elana is the cofounder and artistic director of Cabin Fever, a performance company that transforms homes into living art spaces, reflecting the stories families and architecture. She is also the creator and facilitator of Art & Core, a workshop experience for creatives utilizing guided meditation, pilates and writing to facilitate community.

As singing is somatic, our experience of our bodies while making sound has profound impact on our voice, both physically and metaphorically. Finding more freedom in our body means for more freedom in our voice and our mind. This in turn makes for a more successful experience improvising. With this in mind, Elana will help guide our first hour together, taking us into freer movement that will support our experience singing together. Most of all, she will lead us into a whole lot of fun. Don't miss it!

Suggested donation $15 - $20.
